Would I lie to you?
We have just witnessed some unprecedented lying by Chancellor Rishi Sunak. Recession has been reported by The Office for National Statistics for the first quarter of 2020 (January to March). Yet we only started the Corona lockdown on March 23 2020, having told everyone to wash their hands in March. Hand washing is not generally acknowledged as a major causal factor of global recessions. Undoubtedly, Brexit will have been a contributory factor. Remember what happened to the economy on 31 January 2020? We realise that this is an uncomfortable truth for a Government which has gold-plated the art of deception.
Here’s our friendly suggestion to Mr Sunak via Twitter:
“Please try not to lie so much Rishi. It makes you look stupid and further devalues trust in politics and politicians”[Top]
