We don’t want any presents at Christmas. The greatest gift we’ll get this year is life … without Brexit …
We plan to use the Band Aid single “Do They Know It’s Christmas” as the departure point for the development of a Christmas charity single to persuade our politicians on all sides to Break Brexit Before Brexit Breaks Britain in 2018. We seek to build a better Britain in a united reformed Europe. Our referendum of 24 June 2016 clearly informed our leaders of the need for a renewed relationship with the European Union, but gave no clear mandate for hard, soft, clean, dirty Brexit or no deal at all.
We plan to involve celebrities of the current zeitgeist and hopefully some from the original project which changed the lives of people in Africa and across the world. In one move Bob Geldof changed the view of poverty in ways that our politicians only dream of. Here’s Bob discussing Brexit at The Convention earlier this year:
All proceeds from our song will be given to a basket of 12 charities ranging from The Teenage Cancer Trust and Save The Children to The Stroke Association, SANE, ColaLife, The Rainbow Trust, Water Aid, The Trussel Trust, Oxfam, Guide Dogs for The Blind, The Donkey Sanctuary and The Cats Protection League.
